This unusual ring warrants a closer look. Someone has taken great care to feature diamonds which have come from a much older piece and reset them into this more modern setting. The ring is not English as a partial hallmark is visible to the outside of the band, but I have been unable to establish its exact origin as the complete hallmark was been lost due to a resize at some point. The overall setting is 8mm at the widest point and it holds 24 diamonds (one of which has been replaced with a modern stone, but due to the style is well camouflaged and only really obvious under close inspection.
