This fabulous tigers eye is a rich dark colour with a prominent lighter stripe across it. The phenomena is called chatoyancy and it makes the stone seem alive on the finger. Fair warning, this is quite mesmerising and is a great way of distracting yourself from whatever you should be doing! The cabochon stone is 13mm by 9mm, with the overall setting extending to 17mm by 13mm. The shank bears the makers mark of Wilson and Gill and was assayed as 9ct gold in Birmingham in 1967.

The weight is 3.54g.

If i was being very picky there are some very minor age related wear to the stone, which don’t really detract from the piece, please see the photos. The price is reduced accordingly.
