This substantial peridot ring gives a bright block of colour, don’t you think? Peridot is the birthstone for August which may be why it always reminds me of summer The stones are 6mm x 4mm with the setting being 7mm at the widest point.
There is a full hallmark indicating 9ct gold and dating to 1978 and the weight is a pleasing 3.41g.
Peridot is quite a soft stone and there is a little wear to the facets of the centre stone if you enlarge the photos, but it does not detract from the overall picture.
