The pale green of peridot always reminds me of summer. I am not sure if it is because peridot is the birthstone for August or simply because it just looks magnificent in the summer sun. Here we have a central stone of 7mm by 5mm, this is encircled by eight smaller stones, creating an overall setting which is 14mm at the widest point. The design is completed by ornate shoulders.
The shank bears a maker or sponsors mark of MP alongside a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in London in 1974.
The weight is 3.27g.
