I am a huge fan of hematite, there is something quite bewitching about that metallic sheen. The stone has long been associated with protection, so it is no surprise it is commonly seen in talismen. It is also reputed to aid concentration and focus. I just love the stone, but I am happy to go along with any extra benefits it may bring. The hematite cabochon is 9mm by 7mm with the rope edge setting being 12mm by 11mm overall. The shank bears a sponsor or makers mark of HJ alongside a full hallmark for 9ct gold, having been assayed in Birmingham in 1986.
