I do love a quality well made signet, and it’s something you can feel as well as see. This substantial signet has an oval carnelian of 12mm by 10mm within an overall setting of 15mm at the widest point.
The shank has a makers mark of WG and S, having been assayed as 9ct gold in Birmingham in 1973. The weight is 6.54g.
