Time Period: 1800s, 1901-1909
Material: 9ct Yellow Gold
This piece was obviously originally made to hold a ribbon, which is sadly no longer there. However this frees the item up to a variety of uses. Personally I would be very tempted to add some charms to the bar as it will make a fabulous display piece again with a bit of imagination. The clip is rose gold and 18mm in length, The bar is a slightly less pink hue, but still rose in comparison to other yellow gold items. The bar is engraved to the front and plain to the rear, 22mm long. The overall drop is 40mm. There is 9ct stamped on the dog clip in an old font, dating to circa 1900.
The weight is 2.47g.
