Time Period: 1901-1909, 1910s
Material: 9ct Yellow Gold
Theme: Hearts
This beautiful working padlock is in fantastic condition, just look at the detail on the front. The heart works on applied pressure, clicking open and closed. It can be used as a working clasp (it would have originally been for a bracelet) but I think they make fabulous pendants. Lets face it, who wouldn’t want to show this beauty off? The heart portion is 18mm by 16mm, with the overall size including the clasp being 24mm. The reverse has the makers mark of WHWLd for WH Wilmot of Birmingham alongside a stamp for 9ct gold.
The weight is 3.27g.
