Antique Bloodstone Fob in 9ct Gold

This marvellous antique bloodstone fob is a fantastic tactile item. Yes it has been much used and loved over the years, but this adds a bucket load of character to the piece! The bloodstone itself is a lovely example with distinct red spots and is 12mm square. There is a clear hallmark indicating 9ct gold, having been assayed in Chester and also bearing the fainter makers mark of WJP (William John Pellow). The weight is 2.45g.

Please note this item is not new and therefore is sold as is. I provide various photos of the actual item to enable you to use the photos to satisfy yourself as to the condition and ask any questions before purchase. I will point out anything I think may be significant. In this case there is distinct wear to the gold and the rear stone is cracked. Both the stones can be moved gently against each other within the setting. It will need an extra ring of some description to attach it to a necklace, but my current ones are all too new and look wrong with it. I could take it to my jeweller to add something if required, please contact me before purchase to discuss.
